Camel milk has been popular for centuries in the Arab world, and it’s just now beginning to catch on the United Kingdom. Camel milk was only approved for sale in the EU in 2010, and the Dubai-based company began exporting to Europe. The milk became popular in Norway and Holland, but the first supplies of camel milk in England didn’t arrive until a few years later. Now, you can find shops selling it all across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Camel Milk Products In UK Stores
There’s no major chain selling camel milk in the UK, but you can find a list of shops selling camel milk in the UK. There are several cities with at least one shop on the list, but if you’re city or town is not on the list, you might try shops in areas with a large Somali or Arab population. Otherwise, you’ll have to buy online.
Camel Milk Products Online In The UK
CamelsMilk.co.uk is a reseller of camel milk products from Dubai-based Camelicious and Holland-based Camelac. Their website says all their milk is pasteurized. In addition to plain and flavoured camel milk, they sell powdered milk, cheese, labneh, and ghee. Some images on the site are not working, and Google warns it may have been hacked, so I suggest contacting them before you make an order.
UKCamelMilk.co.uk is another online camel milk supplier. They sell what looks like Camelac frozen milk, as well as camel milk powder, capsules, “healing cream”, and soap. They only take orders by bank transfer, which is a bit dodgy as, if they never fulfill your order, you’re money is gone.
